Recommended Posts

Was wondering if it bad to over moisturize on accutane, well I do once a night before I go to bed but can anyone give me a example on how much I should apply? like a finger full ect..

Also my was oily before accutane, but not somewhat dry now that am on it.

Moisturising 2 or 3 times/day should be fine and in fact is a good idea to prevent dry skin rashes common on Accutane; such rashes are especially common on the arms, face and hands.

But if the moisturiser is irritating your skin or breaking you out, obviously stop or cut down on it.

I "overmoisturize" with jojoba oil...it doesn't clog pores so i think its good

i do 2 layers...i do 1 first and cover my entire face but usually that isn't enough cause its so dry that it just absorbs everything then i do a second layer so i can put access jojoba oil on my face so hopefully that helps the healing.

I used to apply jojoba oil twice daily but if I did this in the morning it made my face area from nose to chin a little red. Over the past month (I am on month 3 narly 4 I think) I have become VERY dry and flakey during the morning so I have gone back to twice a day.

Twice with jojoba is optimum is you don't use too much,

I think it depends on your skin. Jojoba oil could be doing more damage than good. for me I had severly oily skin and I've been using jojoba oil for 2 1/2 months and all of the sudden I have patches of what looks like "eczema." My skin has become so dry that i can only wash my face once a day. I wouldn't use jojoba oil while on accutane. That's just me though. ;-)
