has anyone tried using aloe vera as a moisturizer? what exactly is it supposed to do? my skin's pretty dry and i was thinking of trying out aloe vera (Fruit of the Earth 100% Aloe Vera Gel). btw, i'm on botchla's regimen - makes me clear but very dry at the same time. blink.gif

I use it (Fruit fo the Earth)...but it makes my skin a little tight. So I put Cetaphil (at night) or Oil of Olay (day) on top of it. I also just put the Aloe on trouble areas (anything that needs healing).

i have the same kind and it works very well for me. While i was on Dan's regimen my skin was extremely dry and little painful. I just washed my face with a soap, and put aloe vera all over my face and in two days the dryness was gone, thanks to people who made this product.

i use aloe vera instead of moisturizer at night time, and it has done an excellent job in reducing redness in my skin as well as healing.

i've been using aloe a few days now. i put it all over my face and then i wait a few minutes and put C&C shine-control moisturizer on because it makes my face feel really tight if i don't. it's gotten rid of the dryness and i like it because it actually holds the moisture in. biggrin.gif and it maybe just be me...but it seems like it's made my face a little redder? maybe i'm just being paranoid. huh.gif

I've tried that brand of aloe vera before. It was great for a week, made my skin super nice. I'm back to Dan's regimen though.
