Your best (and easiest) bet is to look for the IFOS certification. I think (but you'll have to do some research yourself) the xtendlife brand is about one of the purest fish oils available today, Carlson's seems to be popular (and good), too. I suggest to also have a look at Moxxor.

Don't just go for cheap stuff, or it might have a low mercury content as well! Look for something certified... In the UK we have a reputable health store chain called Holland and Barrett and you can trust their stuff. Do you have any similar stores?

lol well if i am correct the UK regulates things like fish oil. here in the US i dont think the regulations are as strict, but i know there are some good brands out there. i just want some advice from what brands people take so i can compare them all =D

Carlson's fish oil tested very well with Consumerlab and was also recommended by livestrong.com, it's molecularly distilled, and has high levels of epa/dha compared to other supplements that I've seen.

I always look at the top ranked @ buzillions.com.

I have used both of these and found them both to be extremely effective. I don't really notice a difference in effectiveness between the two, so I would say either one of these. Both are pricey but contain the optimal EPA and DHA levels. You do not want to use cheap fish oil because they likely have less then optimal levels, and also are obtained through larger fish which are alive longer, thus exposed to more toxins and heavy metals.
