Makeup doesn't suit my skin

Recommended Posts

I have had acne for many years although it really calmed down and now I have pits on my skin. Normally during that time of the month I might get a lttle flare (but not really like bad acne).

I remember trying to use Boots tintend moisturiser which made my skin look better but it would cause my skin to break out.

The other day I used a foundation from The Body Shop and now my skin has had a break out and it seems like I can't wear any makeup at all.

Which brands do you recommend? I don't want to use powder as it makes it obvious I am wearing makeup which is not what I want. I don't want my skin to react to these products.

Sometimes it's just trial and error, and I'm not sure what brands you have. I'm assuming you are in the UK since you mentioned Boots.

My skin does very well with Almay, and it's formulated to be hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.

Just read through all of the threads here for tons of feedback on different foundations and powders. Also, browse through the ratings pages for people's comments on makeup. http://www.acne.org/rate.php

i would definetly suggest bare minerals, they make a pretty natural looking powder foundation but they also have liquid foundations. however, its really just a trial and error kinda thing. everyone reacts differently to different types of makeup, but bare minerals shouldn't bug your skin.
