Empty bumps on cheeks...

Recommended Posts

So my cheeks broke out for the first time ever in the summer and fall. First my right side broke out pretty bad...then the left broke out a little in the fall. It's pretty much clearing up now...but I have empty bumps on my cheeks now. They are fairly noticeable and they are obviously bumpy and raised...but if I squeeze them....NOTHING comes out....I have no idea what they are...or how to get rid of them. Does anyone have any suggestions...or does anyone know what they are? Thanks!

Well, first of all, let's stop squeezing them.

I remember when I would get extremely deep, throbbing zits years ago they'd leave red bumps behind that lasted weeks.

I would really examine your skincare routine, because back then I'd use irritating products that seems to noticeably increase the healing time of my skin.

I would also take a look at your diet. Your diet may or may not affect your acne, but healthy eating habits do help your body heal. You can also add a zinc or fish oil supplement to your regimen. =)

Well I think fish oil pills caused my to break out in the first place lol. I started them last spring...and that's what I started to get the acne on my cheeks...it could also have been the change in birth control pills...but I am not sure. Fish oil never really did anything for my skin.
