Differin Cream Repeat Prescription UK

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I know this is a bit of an odd question but I was prescribed a four month course Tetralysal & Differin Cream for my acne. I got the prescription from my dermatologist, then had to take it to my GP to get the prescription confirmed. Now, I was specifically given four months of Tetralysal but just a tube of Differin cream. Thing is, it's been two months and I'm running out of the Differin cream. Has anyone had any problems getting a repeat prescription of Differin cream from their GP or should there be no problem seeing as I have a four month course of Tetralysal and a check-up after the course is finished?

I'm based in the UK, so international replies may not be relevant to my situation!

Basically, I made an appointment with my GP to discuss it, because I had the same problem, but that was with my Tetrasyl and topicals. (I had Isotrex gel and Panoxyl wash) and I couldn't order a repeat. My GP asked me to ring my Derm to get them to fax them a letter to tell them what tablets and topicals I was on so I could get the repeats, then I didn't have any problems. Obviously now I'm on Accutane so the GP isn't in the way, but it was a pain!

Good luck x
