WINDEX as a spot treatment?!

Recommended Posts

Alright, well i have a huge zit, so i was doing some searching on the internet for some ways to decrease the size. I came across one that caught my eye- Windex. I did some more research and found that alot of people said it worked for them. They dab a little on overnight, and the redness and size is reduced. I'm not sure if i should try it, but im desperate..so I am. Anyone ever heard of this method?

I've never heard of that outside of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I would put a tiny tab on your neck and see if your skin reacts. for me my neck is just as or even more sensitive than my face but I would rather have a red mark on my neck than face :P

Thats really interesting! I've never heard of that. Another good one is Aspirin as a spot treatment. Get 1 non-coated Aspirin tablet, let it dissolve in some water and then dab it on with a Q-Tip. Its a natural anti-inflamitory and should help decrease the redness.

This seems potentially dangerous to me.

I don't know what chemicals it contains other than ammonia.

What other spot treatments have you even tried?

I'm still sort of iffy about it, which is why im trying it on my neck first. Its not like im going to be using it alot, probably only this one time, really. Ive tried bp, honey, lemon, mostly over the counter acne spot treatments that work the first week then stop.

Hey guys, in case anyones reading this i just wanted to say it DIDNT work. It made it worse, the spot i used it on was red and raw. I put some neosporin and hydrocortizone + ice for about an hour and put on cover up and it looked fine, though. Definately would not reccomend windex as a spot treatment!!!!!!!!!
