Protecting your eyes whilst using your acne lamp

My message is about protecting your eyes from the blue and red lights since personally I do not feel the amber goggles are enough.

I read some messages in the forum were people explained about using foil to cover the goggles; however, my mom advised me against it because of its reflective surface. So, I am putting a black hairband over my goggles and then I am placing my hands horizontally over my eyes; I would say I am blocking the light from my eyes about 99% (in addition to toning my arms). However, the headband does cover a large area which means the light is not getting to all places, and my eyes feel weird afterwards (due to the pressure of the goggles and hairband, I imagine).

How do YOU protect you eyes? Do you only use the goggles provided? Do your eyes feel 'funny' after using the lamp? Do you have any tips?

Thanks!

Hi. There's a company called Super Sunnies that makes goggles for tanning beds. I read on amazon.com that they can also be used for light therapy. They sell them on amazon.com and ebay. I don't have a pair of these; I have other goggles I use and I just close my eyes when I have to get close to them.
