I know this is a really old post but my Derm told me the opposite of what you guys are saying that the older you are the more likely you are to relapse and have to do a second corse...so which is right?

I have never heard that before. Did you ask your dermatologist about his reasoning?

Here is why it is less likely to come back if you are older.

Your hormones have stabilized.

And your skin has aged.

Decrease in production of oil as you get older.

Naturally some people outgrow their acne, because you are less prone to it when you are older, so I think the older you take Accutane, the more likely you are to stay clear.

Maybe your dermatologist made a mistake?
