Why am I still breaking out?!!?!?!!

I've been on the regimen for over 3 months now and I still get zits. Plus I have even more pigmentation marks than I do actual zits. Maybe they're not quite as inflamed, and they heal a bit more quickly, but I still break out. I've been trying to eat healthy and exercise, wash my pillow cases, drink water and tea, etc. But so far Ive only improved slightly. Please help.

Since you're adapted to the full dose of BP and are mostly clear, consider using the AHA all over in place of moisturizer one or two nights a week. The exfoliative effect of it may help get rid of those comedones that develop into inflamed spots. I am not ON the regimen so I do not have personal experience with it, and the suggestion's just an educated guess on my part. :P

Also, http://www.acne.org/regimenadvice.php is a link that may help you pinpoint areas of concern in your use of the regimen.

Good luck! You look great in your avatar. :)

I've tried using AHA+ as a moisturizer before. It just hurts way too much D: to the point I had to press ice against my face to cool it off. I can use a THIIIIIN layer of it under actual moisturizer but that's it.

aww :( Try that every so often (once a week at first). When I first used glycolic acid it hurt like crazy. But within the next few uses, it got better. Now, I don't even notice it at all when I apply my glycolic acid product. My skin's quite happy with its use, too. :)

I actually used it every 2-3 nights for about a month before I quit. It still burned like crazy. I don't really know why.

hey how bad was your acne before going on the regimen?

I hope it will keep me clear.

I wasn't TOO bad. Light moderate. A lot of whiteheads, maybe over 10 in total, and 5-7 red inflamed pimples at a time.
