Dermatologist Clinic that does not do Cortisone shots?

I just came back from my home town where I had a Cortisone Shot done and was satisfied with the results. Now I am in North Carolina, I was wanting to get another one done but when I called the few clinics they have out here they said that they do not do Cortisone Shots, that kinda took me for a loop. Are Clinics starting to no longer do those or is North Carolina so country bumpkinish that they probably do not have the knowledge of preforming something like that, of the 3 clinics i called, 2 of the receptionist asked me "What are they done for?" I had to tell them what a Cortisone shot is done for, at a dermatologist office..is that normal?

No... I would say it is not normal. My son sees a dermatologist on a regular basis and while he has not had an injection, it is an option we have discussed with his doctor.

Maybe you've reached a receptionist (or two) who are not the most informed.
