Body acne and Dairy?

Has anyone with back/chest acne ever cut out dairy from their diet? I have been using benzaclin on my face and chest for 4.5 years...and I quit using it on my back in June. It was fine for a month...then started breaking out like crazy and has stayed that way for awhile. My chest also breaks out even though I use the benzaclin..and I get nodules on my face. I'm on birth control too...but it doesn't seem to be helping my skin.

I was reading online about how dairy can cause acne...and I have eaten yogurt 5 out of 7 days a week for a year and a half! I'm wondering if that could be affecting my skin as well. But my face isn't too bad from it...which is what kind of confuses me...but my back is awful..and it would even break out when I used the benzaclin. I'm thinking about trying to cut diary out of my diet for a month to see what happens. But I was wondering if anyone has ever tried that for body acne, and if it worked. Thanks!!

i've heard it work wonders for some people, and i've heard it did nothing for others.

me on the other hand cut it out for 2 weeks and nothing changed (had cysts and nodules on upper back, and still got em)

that was before i knew my acne was from genetics and the only thing that has helped to alleviate my acne over the years, was time.

i say, what the hell, if you don't love dairy (i do, and it sucked no having milk or cheese) then try it. but talk to your parents and ask them if they acne like you do (or if your uncles and aunts did) :)
