retin-a generic-need advice

Recommended Posts

So I just tried to pick up my retin-a micro refill and found out from the pharmacy that my insurace dropped coverage of it yesterday....ugh. So now I have to switch to regular retin-a and use the genric. I'm pretty upset because i've only been on RAM for 3 and a half months. Does anyone have any experience with retin-a generic? I'm terrified i'm going to have another Initial breakout.

I've never gone straight from retin-a-micro to generic retin-a, but since the two have the same active ingredient, it might not be too bad. The only thing is, with RAM, the medication is slowly released into your skin over time while Retin-A hits your face with it all at once so you may find it be a bit more harsh.
