none of the medicines my dermatologist gave me worked. Should I give up?

Recommended Posts

I have an ugly case of acne in my groin area. I've had it for many years, but only 3 months ago I decided to seek treatment. During the last 3 months I have been using the following medications, prescribed by a dermatologist: a lotion (Clindamycin Phospate), a cream (Clobetasol Propionate), and pills (doxycycline hyclate).

I have been diligently taking the pills and applying the creams/lotions for 3 months but I still see no improvement.

Should I continue spending money or give up?

I would go back to your dermatologist and discuss other options. 3 months is long enough to tell if most products are working.

Definitely don't give up though. You'll find something that works. There are hundreds of solutions, just give it time. =)
