try stopping exfoliating & using salycilic acid (in an overnight clearing gel) or AHA lotion instead. This will get rid of dead skin without being abrasive. I see you have a white head there. Now if your scrubbing the top of that it will only get angry.

You really shouldn't be exfoliating every day; it's too harsh on your skin and can actually be causing the breakouts since your skin becomes irritated.

Stick to exfoliating 1 to 2 times a week, and cleansing gently twice daily. Moisturize and treat as well. Put some tooth paste, tea tree oil, or benzoyl peroxide to those white heads to help dry them out.

Also, may I ask what exfoliant you're using?

would using dans aha (acne.org aha) be fine for getting rid of dead skin?

Also what do you girls think about the jojoba oil exfoliation method? Is that gentle enough?
