Sam The Man 1 Share Posted August 5, 2004 I haven't noticed anything from using protein powders. I've used whey, soy (and I don't wanna hear any soy will make a woman out of you stuff....) and milk protein (whey and casein). Just remember that gaining mass is about total calories, not protein alone. If you are very lean and have hard time putting on any kind of weight, then eating a lot of fat is the easiest way of getting calories.
nativetexan23 5 Share Posted August 6, 2004 don't eat alot of FAT!! Eat alot of protein COMPLEX CARBS, that is the key. Veggies, preferably raw, and whole grain rice, you want to look cut and big right? not like the michelin man
Dashooter911 1 Share Posted August 6, 2004 Dont use soy. Soy give you really bad gas. I know from experience. Whey all the way.

Of course if you eat a lot of carbs, then you can't eat a lot of fat and vice versa. My body seems to run better on high fat intake and fairly low carbs.
Guest agentx Share Posted August 6, 2004 well ... im 55 Kgs and im 20 years old, it sux:/ and ive been on 55-56 since i was 18 ... so that double sucks.gonna start whey protein ... and alot of other stuff ... maybe creatine :/ Lets see what my instructor suggests
Love2DL 0 Share Posted August 6, 2004 You are simply not eating enough. No amount of creatine in the world will help you if you up your calorie intake. How many calories do u eat in a day? If you don't know that is your first problem to gaining any signifigant muscle.

J|ngles 0 Share Posted August 7, 2004 With Regards to my weight gaining - Damn it's working like crazy, i've been on it just nearly a fortnight and my muscles are getting huge.Haven't even started taking whey protein yet (had no time to get it)Maybe im not as bad as a hardgainer as i thought i was, thats the only explanation i can think of.High Complex Carbs and Plenty of Protein seem to be the ticket for me.
