Tea tree oil has been proven to do exactly the same as benzoyl peroxide. A 5% solution of tea tree oil is the same as a 5% benzoyl peroxide cream. Google it, and search around the boards. The only difference is that tea tree oil takes a bit longer to show results. But it's totally worth it because there is no dryness, redness, irritation or anything! :)

This thread doesn't make sense.. did some posts get deleted or something?

Anyway, I second tea tree oil. Try mixing it into aloe vera gel, at up to 20% concentration (1:4) dilution. You should probably start out with a low percentage.

The common problem with tea tree oil is that some people find that their facial bacteria grow resistant within several months. This is less likely with BP. Also, tea tree oil doesn't act as a keratolytic or exfoliant, so it doesn't do much for non-inflammatory acne. Perhaps combine it with salicylic acid, if you can tolerate that.

Yes sir. There was a user who joined and just starting attacking users for about 15-20 minutes until the user got banned.

That would be why nothing recently posted makes sense right now.

You should try Mandelic Acid as an alternative to BP. I love the Vivant Mandelic Acid Cleansing Scrub. It helps control breakouts since it is antibacterial and it also helps lighten any left over scarring. I keep it in the shower and use it as a body wash too for back acne. I get it from my facialist but if you call the company they tell you where you can purchase it in your area.
