kazuya 1 Posted August 7, 2010 i know that women are supposed to avoid waxing their eyebrows because it rips off the thin skin while on accutane and causes scarring...if i cut my face or got it all scratched up does that mean its also alot more prone to be scarred as well? i really hope not... unless theres a difference im missing. anyone help with some input? thank you in advance! Fred Q 2 Posted August 8, 2010 Yes. Your skin is paper thin while on accutane. My mom works for a plastic surgeon and among all the other possible side effects from accutane usage her first reaction was "becareful...he can scar very easily, and keloids can form". kazuya 1 Posted August 9, 2010 uh oh. ok i wikipedia'd keloids and UGHH.. so on to my next question...does being on accutane actually make it more likely to develop keloids, or the chance is still the same as not being on accutane?

No, people who develop keliods are genetically program to. Keliods are not permanent as they are steriods available to treat them. You shouldnt worry about it, just dont be harsh to the skin while on accutane.
