Using low B5 dosage can increase oil production

I have a theory that using 1-2g of B5 will increase the oil production.

I read that even with excess of 1-3g B5 in our body, it could still only produce more hormones and etc, which in turn would produce more oil.

When in great excess such as 6-10g, only then the body will create coenzymes to breakdown fat.

Or it could be just that a high dosage of B5 should be taken each time. (i.e 2g every 4-5h vs. 1g every 3h).

I'm going to try 2g day and night, total of 4g.

Any thoughts?

I take a total of 500mg a day and it has helped ALOT with oil product. It's cut in half. That's what working so I'm sticking to that. Then again, everyone is different.

That's a helluva reduction in sebum production from such a low dose. What brand are you using and are you using any other supplements or anything that might be responsible for the cut back in oil?

I've used 2g of B5 twice a day.

My upper lip is chapped and the area below my lip is very slightly peeled.

HOWEVER, I don't see any oil reduction on my nose or my forehead area which gets really really oily.

Should I increase my dosage further?

Any ideas?

I do see a decrease in oil to about 40-50% with 4g of B5, 2g taken each.

I do feel bloated and gassy all the time.. I tried popping the pills with food. Doesn't work..

Anybody have a solution to this?

Also it seems that when I use 2g a day, the oil comes back with full strength in 1 day.

Right now I'm just using 4g of B5, and 2 pills of Acnescript which includes 500 mg of B5.

Oil decreased about 30-50% at the moment.
