What do I do with my eye area?!

Dan says not to moisturize your eye area. I find this hard because dryness around the eyes can not only cause them to look old and wrinkled, but flaky and downright uncomfortable. But if I DO moisturize my eye area the sensitive skin there gets downright red and raw and it stings causing me to tear up. What can I do?

I've found out all I really have to do is use a separate moisturizer for my eyes and neck. I'm using aveeno baby daily moisture lotion containing colloidal oatmeal. It's great for neck and eyes.
