Recommended Posts

hey i just started the regimen. literally. but i was wondering if it was ok to use tea tree oil with it as a spot treatment even tho i just started the regimen. anyone know? and if so, do i apply it before or after the bp, or after the moisturizer?

(not sure if this belongs in this forum or the hollistic treatments forum)

From the FAQs:

Q: Can I use the Regimen in conjunction with additional products or over-the-counter medications?

A: Do not do this until you are completely clear and have been that way for some time. Once you are completely clear, it is okay to add in one variable at a time. However, if you begin the Regimen and are adding in other variables from the get go, you will have no way of judging whether the Regimen works for you. See the biggest mistakes page for more.

i added tea tree oil in around my fourth month or so, and it did a good job of handling spots. however, i wouldn't advise adding it any earlier than that, or even waiting until you are generally clear, as stated above. especially when it comes to something like tea tree oil, which can be kind of harsh and drying, you really need to get your skin used to the current regimen before you introduce something like that, it could be too much for your skin to handle.
