What can I do to keep my oily skin under control?

Recommended Posts

I have large pores and my somewhat oily skin tends to get breakouts often. Oily skin and larger pores are a recipe acne hell. I'm curious to know if any of you have every been successful with controlling oily skin.

I know that washing your face too much can cause irritation and lead to more breakouts. So far I have only washed my face two times a day. I wash it in the morning when I wake up then I wash it again at night before bed. After I wash my face in the morning, my face feels light and clean but as the day progresses, my face gets oily and feels "clogged." I don't know how else to explain it other than it feeling heavy and oily.

I don't wash my face when I feel like this but I do use those oily absorbing sheets. Would it be ok to wash my face perhaps three times a day? I go to the gym after work and shower then wash my face with just water.

If you guys have any tips on how to get oily skin under control, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i know this probably isn't what you're looking for, but there are better oil blotters out there than most. boscia makes the best ones & it really does improve oiliness. you can find them at ulta or sephora.
