I have light-mild acne. I've been using Proactiv for about a month and a half now, and it has improved my acne quite a bit. But it is just too expensive for such little bottles. And the BP lotion seemed to ball-up with the moisturizer. Ick.

So I decided to order Dan's BP Treatment because I like the fact that it is a gel, and won't leave a white residue.

So here's the regimen I'm thinking of trying. What do you think?

Morning:

- (in shower) Aveeno Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser (2% Salicylic Acid, Exfoliating microbeads)

- Thayers Alcohol-Free Toner (Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera)

- Acne.org Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment

- Alba Oil-Free Moisturizer (Aloe Vera & Green Tea)... by the way this is the best moisturizer i've ever used. I borrowed it from my girlfriend and I never gave it back. It's about $13 for 4 oz. and you can pick it up at any health food or organic market.

Night:

- (in shower) Aveeno Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser (2% Salicylic Acid, Exfoliating microbeads)

- Reviva Glycolic Acid Toner (with Aloe Vera)

- Acne.org Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment

- Alba Oil-Free Moisturizer (Aloe Vera & Green Tea)

Moved to over the counter acne medications from the Acne.org regimen forum as this post is not about the Acne.org regimen and does not ask questions about the regimen itself.

The toner's not necessary. Also not a good idea to use a salicylic acid cleanser while on BP. I don't know about the moisturizer but: The following two links are to websites that list comedogenic ingredients. You can research the ingredients in your product(s) and determine if any might be problematic. The second link is to a PDF so if your computer is old or cranky, your computer might freeze. Remember that the further down on the list of ingredients, the less percentage of that ingredient is in the product. So a comedogenic ingredient that is in the last half of an ingredient list may or may not cause you problems. http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acnedetect.htm#inglist
