Can dryness cause facial redness?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have been on the regimen on about 2~3months now, and whenever my skin is really dry and then i applyy BP, after some time, my skin becomes really red. But whenever my skin is moist. enough, it's not as red as it is.

So, I want to know if dryness is related to facial redness?

Thank you.

Yes, absolutely.

I used to believe that using sudocrem would reduce the level of redness. And it did to an extent. Unfortunately it really dried out my skin and the flaking would be accompanied by angry patchy redness.

BP, although an effective ance treatment, is harsh on the skin. Make sure you moisturise regularly. You'll probably find that your skin is more sensitive now too. A good cleanser like cetaphil helped me too. Wash face with warm water, cleanse, wash cleaner off and then apply moisturiser.
