How many RX's can you fill at once..

Recommended Posts

I just refilled my Ocella today...because I couldn't get a planned parenthood appt. until next week. Then it occurred to me that I could call my doctor to make an appt. tomorrow or Thursday to try and switch pills...but then if I switched...I would have two BC rx's at the pharmacy filled. Is that allowed? If I'm switching pills, how can they stop me?

lol...I probably have a bunch of active bcp rxs at my pharmacy because I switched a few times. They don't care, as long as you're not trying to fill them both every month. Then they might think something's up.

The only problem you might have is if you just filled a script for the pill and you switch and try to fill another one within 30 days your insurance might not pay for more than one bcp within a 30 day window.

If you're going through your insurance the pharmacy can delete the other refill (as long as you haven't picked it up) and just fill the new one.
