Putting on weight

Recommended Posts

Ok, perhaps i'm having another straw clutching moment here. But here I go...

I'm quite a slim guy with what I would say was "moderate scarring".

I notice that when people put on weight, it plumps their face up as well.

I was just curious if this could have an effect on scarring.

I notice when I stretch my facial skin, my scars pretty much disappear. Do does anybody think that plumping my skin up a little by putting on more weight would help to stretch my skin to make the scars less noticable...

Like I say.... straw clutching...

But we all need as much straw clutching as we can get.... ;)

this has been brought up alot of times in the past.

It may or may not improve your scars, same with shedding weight.

Wow, really?

How would shedding weight work? Would that be for people with raised scars?

All my scars are indented and i'm fairly slim...

Time to pull out the protein shakes I think.

more like they dont really change the scars, but the person on a whole looks better and thus takes away more from noticing scars as much imo maybe!?

I'm not sure.

I just know that when I stretch my skin slightly, my indents pretty much disappear!

So i'm just wondering if putting on more weight will kind of fatten my face up a little and help stretch the skin on a more perminant basis?

Just a crazy idea, but i suppose it wouldn't hurt much trying.

Losing or gaining weight won't do a thing to help or hurt scarring of any kind. Just do a search for 'weight' on these boards.
