I don't know what happened...

Recommended Posts

I'm a 23 y/o female who has only had moderate acne here and there. I've only ever had a really bad bout after I had gone through bootcamp at age 20, but it cleared up with ProActiv. I had pretty much been using the same skin regimen until about April. For some reason, I decided I needed to change it because I was getting a few more little whiteheads around my lips and chin than normal.

I switched over to Mario Badescu skin care products. My skin looked amazing...for three days. Then it erupted all over the place. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and figured maybe my skin was purging. I continued to use it for about six to seven weeks and then gave up, it just wasn't improving. I switched back to my old regimen of St Ives Blemish Clearing cleanser morning and night, St Ives Apricot scrub every now and then, ProActiv Toner at night, ProActiv Reparing Lotion when I feel I need it, Neutrogena Oil-free moisturizer or MAC Mineralize All Over lotion, and a few different spot treatments. I use BareMinerals cosmetics which I've been using since I was 18.

My acne is under control EXCEPT for my chin and lips, I'm getting cystic bumps. I don't know what else to do or change or why this is happening now.

I have been off B/C for three years, but I'm getting a prescription for Yaz today. Maybe that will help, since I'm guessing this is hormonal.

Does anyone have any tips or ideas?
