clindamycin as spot treatment?

Recommended Posts

I stopped using my Rx topical clindamycin a few months ago b/c it just wasn't working. It only helped a little in the first couple weeks.

My skin is doing better, with diet changes, but I still get the occasional zit - like right now, I have this zit that just doesn't seem to be responding to the spot treatments I usually use (tea tree oil, bp)

And then I read sometimes that neosporin is supposed to be really good but would clindamycin work just as well?

If you have any insight on how effective clindamycin is, I'd appreciate it!

Polysporin applied every so often (see the link in my signature that starts "What to do...") may have fewer potential side effects than Clindamycin. Clindamycin may work, but you're better off using BP or Polysporin. IF you do decide to use the clindamycin, please apply BP at the same time to prevent the bacteria from developing resistance to the clindamycin. BP kills bacteria in a different way and resistance to BP does not develop.
