i seem to have bad luck, everytime i have a bad cyst i seem to accidently make it much much worse by bashing into something.

Has anyone has such an experience? What can you do to calm it back down?

Icing it will help relieve pain and other types of inflammation (redness, swelling).

The worst is when you accidentally touch something hot, like the burner on the stove...HOLY CRAP! You can just feel the blood and stuff inside boiling and moving around.

I don't know if this would work but have you ever hit your finger with a hammer or another heavy object?

Basically, your finer nail looks on black/purple/red or a bluish color due to a blood bruise underneath the nail. Your finger is swallon and painful and it can hurt gripping something or just touching.

So, in order to relieve this pain, Some take a sterilized needle or a drill bit and go through the nail and drain the fluid out. Then after doing this a couple of times, through the day, put some kind of anti-bacterial ointment on it.

May work the same on a cyst.

That should never be done to a cyst.

Regarding the finger injury: plain old ice applied right after the injury and for the first 72 hours is best. No self-surgery required. You risk infection or worsened injury.
