Is EZPEEL a good TCA peel?

Recommended Posts

I am going to do some TCA peels between TCA cross treatments. I was doing some research, looking for a good TCA seller and came across ezpeel.net and it claims alot. I was wondering if someone who used or uses ezpeel could tell me alittle more about it and if it works as good or better than regular TCA peels and what is the TCA% in the ezpeel?

I looked up Anais Corporation/Skin Care on the Better Business Bureau website and they have a very terrible rating.

Um, I tried Anais's product for scarring and now I really need to have surgury!

The stuff is way too strong for at-home use. I was chatting with a rep from Anais while I was doing it, and, while I later learned that I should have washed the stuff off as soon as I saw the first sign of the "frost", she told me to keep it on.

Basically, it actually ate away at the fat in my cheek and left a huge white scar on my face.

Don't use Anais.

Well, I just did a simple search. To be honest, it looks pretty sketchy. http://www.ezpeel.net/EZPEEL_p/ezpeel.htm

They don't tell you the percentage, but saying it leaves 'no frosting and no visible burns' probably means it's really low, about 8%.

Also, TCA isn't supposed to be exposed to light and it should come in bottles made of dark-colored glass, but the one in the picture they show is made of transparent material.

And all for only $49.95!!! -_- Seriously, use Makeup Artist's Choice.

Also, that chunk of text where they explain how TCA 'depletes' the skin's own DNA is the most bullshit science I have ever heard. Wow.

After reading all your comments, I think i wont go with ezpeel. I am going to start with the 15% over my whole face and see if maybe I can add another layer just on cheeks, where my scaring is mainly. Has anyone used the original skin store or is makeup artist the best site? I emailed original skin store and they told me to go right for the 20% right away, I sent them pics of my skin. I am too afraid to start with 20%. Any advice?

Have you had any more peels after that? I am so sorry that happened to you.

I know you aren't going to like hearing this, but no TCA peel will do anything for scarring. You should only use it for hyperpigmentation issues; otherwise you are wasting your time.

I don't know why the company would tell you to start at 20%, as companies usually over-exaggerate safety issues in order to avoid lawsuits. Definitely don't start at 20%. Makeup Artists's Choice says to start at 8% or 12.5%.

I believe 15% is too high to start, though you could probably handle it if you only do 1 layer. I would personally start at 8%-10% and go up in 5% increments.

Yes, chemical peels will do nothing for scarring. I have had tca peels. 20% is a high concentration and leaves you with about 5-7 days of down time (looking like crap). I would see a specialist the first time for sure.
