I've read that while on the regimen you should be using some sort of sunscreen if you are going in the sun because of the benozyl peroxide. The thing is I cannot find a page that shows sunscreens that are okay to use and won't make your acne worse.

There are some spf moisturizers on our list of recommended products. http://www.acne.org/findingsupplies.php

And Dan made a blog entry for how to choose a good sunscreen. Here it is. http://www.acne.org/blog/2009/06/24/sun-we...hoosing-an-spf/

For what it's worth, I've been using either Eucerin Extra Protective face lotion http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp...amp;catid=21503 , or Neutrogena sensitive skin sunblock http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp...amp;catid=12101 .

When and how should I use my sunscreen? Should I use it on top of or underneath Dan's moisturizer, or should I just dab in some Jojoba Oil? Is it okay for everyday wear?

Thanks in advance!

i use Aveeno Positively Radiant Dailey Moisturizer with 30 SPF. comes in 15 SPF aswell.

its not under dan's recommended products. but ive used it for awhile now and it works great. it conquors my flakes and doesnt leave a nasty greasy feeling.

UVA/UVB sunscreen

Oil-Free

Hypoallergenic

Noncomedogenic

"clinically proven" total soy complex and natural light diffusers....

it also says that it evens out skin tone and texture, but who knows if thats true. i really dont use it enough to say ive noticed a difference, but the rest of the stuff is whats important.

downside is its pricey for such a small bottle. but a little goes a long way, very worth it!

I actually have the Target Up and Up brand of that same sunscreen, but I am so paranoid now about stinging, burning and breaking out, that I haven't touched it. I went and purchased the Eucerine sensitive skin sunscreen, but it BURNS. no more so than Dan's moisturizer, but like I said, paranoid. I usually don't wear any, (shame on me) but I am going to be out on the lake this weekend and I want to stay protected. Do you use it along with moisturizer, or as your moisturizer?

haha i used to never ever where sunscreen, even on my body.. and id end up looking as red as a lobster by the end of the day!

i use the aveeno stuff as my moisturizer, buti usually only burn on certain places of my face. so ill apply it to those areas (my forhead, nose and cheeks) then use my cetaphil moisturizer for the rest of my face. if your whole face is capable of burning then i would apply it everywhere, but really its a personal choice. ive become VERY attatched to cetaphil moisturizer, and will only use other stuff where its needed!

what happened to the zinc oxide, is that even relevant anymore?

Seems like no ones using it as the active ingredient in sunscreens anymore.

I use Olay complete daily spf 15/sensitive skin (classic gentle formula) on my face. If I'm going to the beach can i bring it with me and use it as my sunscreen?
