It doesnt affect me. I started drinking soy since I ditched cow milk about 2 years ago. My skin has improved significantly since quitting dairy.

I think if you wanted to drink it, it would be best to do it yourself. I wouldn't trust a for profit company to do it.

Soymilk is fine. Make sure it's unsweetened.

Westsoy is a good brand. I wouldn't drink too much though.

I would use almond milk more than soy if I were you.

I would not touch soy milk if I were you.

--Soy is the #1 most genetically modified food on this planet. Corn is #2.

--In the 1950's, cattlemen began administering medications to cattle to induce hypothyroidism because they would lose their appetite yet fatten really quickly. 10 years later, they learned that putting the cattle on a soy and corn diet has the same effect without medication.

I would suggest you make your own milk. One simple recipe is:

1 cup raw almonds

4 cups water

1 date or 1 banana

Directions: Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve chilled.

This sounds far more healthy and natural.

Uh oh, the one that I drank was sweet.

And I did grow a couple of pimples afterwards.

I think I'd better stop drinking it.

Dotty1: Thanks for all that info :)

Soy as a whole food prepared in a traditional way is good for you though. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water

If you buy organic soy, yes.

I've read far too many studies indicating soy as having the potential cause or exacerbate thyroid issues. Considering my mom already has thyroid issues, I don't touch the stuff.

Yeah, I stopped drinking soy milk and haven't gotten any new pimples.

The one at the corner of my nose that grew a few days ago kinda popped today and some puss came out. The pimple is still there though, smaller, with a bit of white. I hope I can get rid of it quick :(

When I sent in my stool test to EnteroLab, they found I was allergic to soy. The test was definitely worth $99. I would have never guessed I was allergic to soy because I never have any noticeable reaction.

I did read that cattlemen found the corn and soy cause hypothyroidism when eaten in large quantities. That is why cattle are fed it. They spend little energy and get fat quickly.
