How do I treat my scars?

I've had acne for 5 years and it finally started to go away but I still have all these red spots and scars. I'm wondering if my scarring is considered bad and what I can do to treat it.

Sorry the pictures are a little bad but the only camera I have is on my phone.

heya, ive been on this site for about 4 years now and a formal member for about 6 months. what you have looks like ice pick scarring. i have the same, though a lot more than you. unfortunately it is the hardest kind of scarring to treat and the options of dermabrasion, laser, creams, peels etc that a lot of people talk about on here are not likely to make any real difference.

however, if you do want a treatment, the only option i can see are a series of TCA Cross treatments. TCA Acid is placed on the end of a toothpick and pushed into the scar, causing it to burn off the scar tissue and overtime develop enough collagen to fill in the scars. I recommend you do a search on these boards for more information.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for replying. I was just wondering if I should go to a dermatologist for this or if I should do it at home. Also how much does this cost? I read the reviews and it ranged from $30 to $600 which is really odd. O_O
