skin darkening

Recommended Posts

I haven't been able to find any conclusive info about this on the forum, so I figured I'd just ask :)

I'm in day one of week 4 of the regimen (although, I've been using significantly less BP then recommended simply because I have very light acne and only in some areas)

Now, lately I've noticed that the skin on my face is significantly darker then the rest of my body (the neck for example). People have actually started asking if I've been tanning or if I'm using makeup. Which is definitely not something I want, being a guy and all that.

I'm using the acne.org cleanser, BP and moisturizer, along with Primavera jojoba oil in the evenings (only evenings because it makes my skin shiny). I have read that BP can either darken or lighten your skin, but have found no concrete information on that or how to combat it.

My question is, what can I do to combat the darkening? Actually, I'd appreciate any information you could provide about the darkening thing :)

P.S. other than this, the regimen is great! I haven't broken out a single time in the past 3 weeks and some areas of my face have completely cleared up already.
