I'm having extremely dry lips from using Retin-A and Doxycycline. I have experienced dry lips ever since I was able to use lip balm i.e. 5 years old. I used car-mex and then medicated blistex. Currently, and for the past 6 years, I'm using Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm, original. Now that I'm on these two medications, my lips have become extremely dry. In my case, my lips don't peel or crack, I just experience uncomfortable dryness, ESPECIALLY around my lips which become red.

I've been dealing with extremely dry lips too because I'm on Accutane. I wish I could say I've found the cure, but I haven't. But, I've been using Aquaphor, Carmex, and Chapstick. None of them work perfectly. But, my lips don't hurt if I keep them continually coated in lip balm.

I kept track of how many times I had to apply lip balm one day. 13 times!

Good luck on finding what works for you!
