Has anyone read this artical that claims they found a new stem cell that can regrow every component of skin. This would include sebacous glands. The artical is dated march 11 2010. They say by 2-3 years they will be able to go from testing in mice to human subjects. It sounds very promising as from what i have read scar patients are now being treated by stem cell grown from fat. This researcher claims this to be a better stem cell.

I would like to hear some opinions .

This article talks some more about those particular stem cells. It mentions that they also applied the cells NEXT to small puncture wounds and within a month the cells were in the scar showing that the cells assisted in wound healing too.

Old news. But yeah its something to look out for. If they say they are gonna move to human trials in 3 years, china will do it in 1.

This is not old news. This Hans clever made this press release on his findings this month. This is definately new stuff. And i dont know why you posted that link saying it was the same research because its not.

im happy about these discoveries. there seems to be several companies coming out with anti scarring remedies, so i expect the market will be flooded in a couple of years or so. i didnt like putting all our faith in the makers of juvista, especially since they kept having problems and delaying the release of it. im starting to wonder how well their product works, if it does at all.

its nice to know, there are several very independent companies all working to secure our future. it might motivate other companies to get their act together :)

I wouldn't expect too much from this in the form of a treatment that can turn back time that is going to come around on a relatively short term.

That wasn't proper English was it? haha Let me try again.

I don't think this finding will end up being something that will contribute to any treatment that will come along on a relatively short term that can truly fix scars.
