Brand new scars

Intuition tells me it would be easier to treat scars when they are at they're youngest, but almost everyone on here says to wait at least a year before messing with a new scar? Isn't the intention to break up hard fibrous scar tissue that is binding a scar down, and allow it to create more collagen? I'm thinking brand new scars have softer scar tissue and more...plasticity, making them easier to treat.. Wouldn't waiting a year only strengthen the scar tissue, making it harder to breakup and release the scar? I dunno.. Just a thought, I am getting new scars all the time and it kills me to see them and not be able to do anything. . So you guys just leave new scars alone? Mine are in that critical period right now and I just wish there was something I could do NOW to help things along. . aside from neosporin

Waiting a year is for the accutane people. If you don't have breakouts still, and you've been off accutane for half a year, you can probably do whatever you want.
