Hey, I just started the regimen today, and was wondering if I could use the AHA as a spot treatment. I read that you should let your skin become accustomed to BP before using it, but I assumed that Dan was talking about using AHA all over the face, and not spot treating.

Could my sister (who is not on the regimen) use it as well?

Thanks!

Wait until you've been on The Regimen for at least a month before adding in the AHA. Even as a spot-treatment, it can be too harsh on your skin if you add it in while your skin is still trying to adjust to the BP.

As for your sister, this is from the FAQs:

Q: Do I need to be on the Acne.org Regimen to use the AHA+ lotion?

A: No. It can be a nice enhancement to the Regimen, but is not a requirement, and many people who are not on the Regimen can benefit from its exfoliating and skin calming properties.

My sister is using a cleanser and clearasil ultra pads on her acne. (when she gets acne, which isn't often.)

Ok, I'll be sure to hold off on the AHA+ then.

Thanks for your help!
