Makeup and Rosacea

It was recommended to me to try dermablend to cover up the rosace and subsequent bumps that have come with it. I was also directed to an Origins Makeup line... does anyone have any advice on what type of makeup to use, the line and/or powder/liquid makeup?? I have rather sensitve, dry skin so it's somewhat tricky

This is from my experience, hopefully it will help. I've only tried one product from each line, but luckily they were foundations. :)

Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Foundation

Pros: Excellent coverage, somewhat easy to work with, long-lasting, dewy look.

Cons: Feels heavy, kind of feels like my skin can't "breathe", can be a pain in the bum to remove.

Bottom Line: I prefer to use this foundation as a concealer.

Origins Silk Screen Powder

Pros: Sheer, smooth, easy to use, wears beautifully, matte look.

Cons: Coverage isn't full (but it's not meant to be for this particular product).

Bottom Line: You'll need to use a foundation under this.

I have been using everyday minerals which is a mineral makeup it h  as been very good to me I too have very dry skin all I do is put moiturizer right before applying my makeup and it covers well there are different formulas original glo is more for dry skin I use the intensive formula and it has looked good and you can build your coverage which is a plus1

I have oily skin but pretty sensetive. It's also pretty red. I like physicians formula mineral wear lose powder. I go over my whole face a few times but It covers really well and is only around $11 for a pretty good size little tub compared to most mineral make up that's not even half the amount. You may need a conceler for problem areas and I mist some water from a tiny spay bottle so it doesn't have that powdery look. Works well for me u should try it! let me know if you do and if you like it.

I use the Sheer Cover brand which is mineral based makeup that I buy from Ebay. I buy the Sheer Cover concealer which goes on very lightweight and covers the Red !!!! It lasts all day and my skin can breath. Secondly I use the finishing powder which also goes on very light. Both products are used very sparingly and have smooth natural looking coverage.

I love this makeup....Since having rosacea for over 10 years this is the best stuff I have ever used and am going on three years now.
