Lady25 0 Share Posted February 19, 2010 Hey I have a few questions:Does anyone know how long my tretinoin (generic retin-a) .025 gel is going to take to fade out my red marks? Also, do clogged pores leave behind red marks? I went to my derm today and she told me my face looks even worse because a lot of what I'm looking at are red marks. I had a lot of clogged pores that may or may not have purged and my inside cheeks are super red and dotted...Thanks so much.
AG123 0 Share Posted February 19, 2010 i would get rid of all acne first, main priority to stop future marks.then, get a good exfoliator (or use the baby brush method as an exfoliator).this will need to be used pretty frequently if your pores are constantly clogged.retinol is good at unclogging pores. fading marks will be a slow process butthe effects of retinol are a good combo for fading and unclogging.probably need more than 1 tube, derm should be able to give you it free

dark_eyes 0 Share Posted February 20, 2010 Thanks for your response. What exactly is the baby brush method?I'm wondering the same thing. I have tons of red marks left and they are almost as bad as the acne itself!
infinity15 0 Share Posted February 20, 2010 Same here... I see smooth toned skin under a specific lighting, but under normal, it looks all red and blotchy and it looks worse than having acne.

infinity15 0 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I have the same problem. My skin is toned and smooth in an area... but its still bright red and blotchy like I have acne there. I use retin-a micro .1% and it bleaches it when I first put it on and when I wash it in the morning BAM! Redness all over again.
