Hydroquinone

Recommended Posts

I was told that hydroquinone was banned in the UK bc it causes carcinogen,is this true?

Why have obagi brought out a new obagi blender without adding hydroquinone to it,is it bc of the ban?

I remember doing on research on hydroquinone a year or so ago and remember hearing that it is banned in the UK. It's legal in the US though and I see it at stores.

There is some controversy over hydroquinone, but just because people speculate does not mean it causes cancer or anything as dramatic as that. I'm actually going to ask my dermatologist if I'm appropriate for hydroquinone next week :)

Heck, I hear so many ingredients causes cancer (aspartame, hydroquinone, etc.) that I fail to see the strong, definite correlation between cancer and the product.

As for Obagi, I'm not sure why they took out hydroquinone.

I'm sure hydroquinone at low percentages with moderate use will not cause any significant damage unless you use it for a long time. I'm talking about over 5 years.

So many things cause cancer these days.
