17 & Scarred for life?

Recommended Posts

I finished 4 months of accutane 2 months aqo. & I was left with briqht red scars all over my cheeks. I'm definitly not qettinq lazer & i'm debating on the chemical peel. I've tryed applying ScarZone cream, vitamen e oil, & lemon. But I really don't know if anything is going to work. Does anyone have any suggestions from their own personal experiences?

That is what I used to look like before Accutane :(

Firstly, you're pretty . Secondly, it'd help if you had some recent pics so we could see what you're working with. I mean, are they indented or just discolored?

Thank you:) My camera broke & my boyfriend fixed it but I don't have it yet :( My scars are kinda indented, not that bad. But they are bright red & hard to cover.

Wow you really are gorgeous with or without acne.

If thats an example of your scars then I think you will be fine.

Post your pics as soon as you can and we can asses what might be the best option.

Btw if you want it more smoother try coconut oil as a moisturozer

I used to have the same problem as you. I bought some bragg apple cider vinegar and applied it to my face twice a day. after I let it sit for about 15 minutes I put on some Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera gel because the acv is extremely drying. I did that twice a day everyday for about a month to two months and by the end of it most the scars were gone completely, there were still a few but they were very dim and not really noticeable. worked for me maybe it will work for you hope that helps

A very popular way to get rid of redness is using any form AHA. I would personally try mandelic acid since it is supposedly the least harsh of all the AHA's. I've also heard great things about Vitamin K and Zinc Oxide. Also, as a last resort you could turn to non ablative lasers such as IPL or Vbeam.
