The Cystic Acne Diet

I'm so bad with diets.

I just want to lose weight, get in shape, and do it while clearing up my acne.

I use accutane (fourth month almost up)

and nothing seems to be working on my skin, so I thought the next best thing was change my diet.

I dont eat healthy at all, I am a college student so its difficult.

Any suggestions on certain foods that cleared your skin? Or foods you avoid?

I obviously need to cut back on sweets =(

Thank you!

I think most people here are avoiding sugar and dairy mainly. Definitely start eating more green vegetables and drinking more water.

Wanna get rid of cystic acne??

Avoid ALLvegetables oils.

These are the biggest cause of acne in my opinion.

Use olive oils and coconut oils, butter and or ghee.

Dairy is next to go, I find yoghurt ok though and a tiny bit of grass fed butter.

Last is refined carbohydrates and sugars, except fruits(unless candida).

If you want more information just ask :)

for most cystic acne. Avoid dairy, most sugar (fruit isnt that bad but dont eat to much either) and allergys/sensitiveness.

I have found grains play a role on me as well.

OP, you really have to dig more and find out for yourself, we all react different to foods.

There's plenty to eat. I would recommend you look more into the paleo diet.

Here is my average daily diet:

Morning:

Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal (NOT instant and without adding any sugar or anything)

Lunch:

Salad (Lettuce, Broccoli, Carrots, Cucumbers, Sliced Almonds, Sunflower Seeds, Italian Dressing)

Dinner:

Tuna with Mayo and Relish

My skin gets so good when I stick to it....but it's hard.

Eat real, whole nutrient dense foods. Avoid/limit sugar, breads, hydrogenated/trans fats. And avoid anything you personally have an intolerance for such as dairy, wheat/gluten, peanuts, soy, nuts, citrus...
