Just bought some kefir!

Recommended Posts

I just bought some Turtle Mountain kefir an hour ago, but what I didn't realize was that it's basically rotten milk. I tried it, and gagged a little. Is there anyway to make this stuff taste better or to add it to something to hide the taste without depleting the nutrients?

Try blending it with some raspberries or blueberries into a smoothie. I'd suggest you try the coconut milk one next time, possibly the vanilla-flavored, if you can't stand the fermented taste. ;)

Thanks, I think I'll try that soon. And I neglected to mention that the kefir I got IS made from coconut milk

I just bought some as well. The supermarket near me has every single flavor, except coconut milk. I got the whole plain milk one (I reintroduced dairy back as an experiment, didn't go well...). I need to find the coconut milk one so I can keep drinking it.

As of the taste, I like it! It is really strong, but I have always liked extra sour and thin yogurt, so this is just an improvement upon that!
