nikkia 16 Posted November 29, 2009 take accutane right before a big meal. peanut butter usually causes breakouts. its not a nut but a legume. I have seriously never heard that peanut butter will cause breakouts. Or that legumes cause breakouts. I've heard that gluten, dairy, sugar, and meat cause breakouts (even though all my friends with clear skin eat these foods). If you add peanut butter to that list, I think there is pretty much nothing left to eat. If accutane does its job, you will be able to eat whatever you want by the end of your course. gregfranchise 0 Posted November 29, 2009 I've also heard that dairy can cause breakouts, but my derm actually suggested eating dairy when taking the drug for the fat intake.
Lyinginthebed 0 Posted November 29, 2009 Who cares about what you`ve heard? I`ve heard Tiger was cheating on his wife - does that make it common sense and truth? Refer to studies if you are going to make claims here. Otherwise a forum about a problem is useless for everyone.

stay strong 0 Posted December 5, 2009 Is eating a couple of spoons of peanut butter good enough to help accutane absorb well? I'd be too paranoid that it wouldn't absorb properly to just take it with some peanut butter. I make sure I have mine with a big meal and a glass of milk. Sometimes I even have a couple of teaspoons of olive oil after just to be sure, though I'm sure this is probably unnecessary.

Thanks http://www.acne.org/messageboard/peanut-bu...ne-t194009.html sorry but i did not mean to say usually. i should have said 'may' it can cause acne to some people but not all. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Does_peanut_butter_cause_acne http://ezinearticles.com/?Foods-That-Cause...e&id=613455 i know that these sites are not scientific. nikkia 16 Posted December 5, 2009 My current derm has told me that I can take Accutane with food or on an empty stomach. Your new derm **answered a question** for you????????????? Your old derm probably would have charged you by the question.
