bee4 0 Share Posted November 27, 2009 I suffer from medication induced acne - I never have greasy skin or blackheads or small pimples, just 1 or 2 enormous cysts, usually on my cheeks and chin.I have one at the moment which is huge - the size of a dime (I'm English, not sure how big that is compared to our money, but in our money it would be the same size as a 10p piece).It appears to be fluid filled but without an obvious head.It has been this size for 4 days.What should I do, leave it or have it injected. Bee your derm will inject cortisone directly into the cyst. within 12 hours you will notice a huge difference; it will be less red and will have flattened a bit. within 24 hours usually it will be completely gone. it hurts but its worth it. i do think you should do it in this case. always worked for me.
