Hormone Question

Recommended Posts

I started getting acne right at puberty. I've had it acne for about 3 years. My dad and older brother had acne during puberty, but eventually grew out of it, and never had it again. I have an oily face, and still have acne, because of puberty, once again. I'm just wondering since spiro is an antiandrogen, would it clear my acne?

p.s. I am a male.

Buke, It sounds like you too will grow out of it.

Spiro is known to decrease the amount of testosterone in your body. That is why it works so well for women. I'm not aware of this effect in men, however I wouldn't advise my teenage nephews to take it. The men (my brother, his son) both had acne as well and they outgrew it.

Good luck, but I'd steer clear of spiro if I were you.
