Spiro Question

Recommended Posts

Can a man take spiro? Ive only seen woman taking it.

Also, my main concern is stopping oil production which I heard spiro is great for. Why would you recommend this over accutane?

Hello,

Spiro is an antiandrogen and can only be given to women. In men it has been reported to induce the growth of breasts. Hormonal treatments unfortunately seem not to be the thing for men.

I'm on it right now. matter of fact, I just asked a question similar to this. i don't know if it's working yet cause I've only been on it for about a month. I would recommend this over accutane, because you never know, it can be perfect for your acne. If you are going through puberty, it should most def. work. It's also like 300-1000 dollars less a month than accutane. The side effects aren't as bad either. I would try this, if it doesn't work after 5 months, go on accutane. It should start working between 1-3 months though. I also don't know if I got an ib because I'm on an antibiotic. I'll keep you updated. Are you on this pill?

Knowing what Spiro does I would definitely not recommend this for any male during puberty...Heck, I wouldn't even recommend it for any male below 40. This could seriously screw up a kid going through puberty and a young man, in my opinion.
