Spirolactone and Possible Cleansers

Recommended Posts

I have been taking Spironolactone for more than five months now and it definitely helped clear up a lot of my acne. However, I still get moderate breakouts. My skin is extremely sensitive, very oily, and can get really dry when I put on too many topical treatments.

Does anyone know what a good cleanser would be that would help with acne while not drying out my skin - all while I am on Spironolactone?

Thank you so much, everyone. I'm having such a hard time.

A friend of mine has her own make-up line; she swears by Peter Thomas Roth's Glycolic Acid Facial Wash. You can find it @ Ulta or Sephora. I intend to use it myself.

wow your skin sounds identical to mine! i didnt think anyone else had oily and sensitive skin like me! well i am using aveeno ultra calming cleanser and am pretty happy with it. i would stay away from any cleansers that contain soap, very drying, and sodium laureth/lauryl sulfate, also very irritating. aveenohas none of these and is very gentle and pretty simple. although sometimes i dont feel with it that my pores are all that clean afetr washing with it..thats my only complaint..but it deosnt dry me out or aggrvate acne
