I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like a bad day :L

I'm actually a dude, but I feel pretty bad about my scars myself as well. You just have to tell yourself that your skin isn't everything, and it really is not.

You are so much more than that.

I'm a girl with (bad) acne scars. It's tough. I'm currently having to share a tiny flat with two other girls who have the best skin I've ever seen (one quite literally has not a visible pore on her face), and it's upsetting being around people who clearly don't give a second thought to their skin when getting ready to go out socialising or when leaving their rooms in the morning.

People close to me have told me endless amounts of times that I'm more than my skin and that it's not as bad as I feel it is. But I feel like an absolute monster, regardless. I got called 'disgusting' by a group of strangers last week, just as I was minding my own business, so when you've been making a tremendous effort to get on with your life and to forget about the scars, comments like that set you back a fair way and it's hard to remain positive.

Yep I'm a girl with acne scars.

I have mostly box car and/or rolling scars all over my cheeks. I get very self conscious because Im not entirely sure how noticeable they are; I'm not game to ask anyone. When I stand in front of my mirror at home, they look flat but with other mirrors I can see them clearly esp if they have a bright overhead light. It makes me paranoid about bright lights :shifty:

I live with 4 housemates; 3 of which have perfect skin (the girl is gorgeous of course, but a totally b!tch so you cant be everything I guess, lol) and another girl who had acne as well. She went on roaccuntane and now has quite deep scars on her checks but otherwise smooth skin.

You just have to learn to deal with your imperfections I guess. Sometimes something will strike me and Ill get very depressed about how not-pretty I am (because not only do I have crap skin but also frizzy uncontrollable curls grrr) but then i figure i can't do anything about that and just do the best i can with what i got.
